Among his most famous works are Les Demoiselles d'Avignon in 1907 and the anti-war painting Guernica in 1937, a dramatic portrayal of the bombing of Guernicaby German and Italian air forces during the Civil War in Spain. Pablo Picasso died on the 8th of April 1973 at the age of 91 in Mougins, France.
