Gary
lives in New Zealand and wanted something unique for his family, Rings for the Men and Pendants for the adies. He wanted to pay homage to his Irish roots, his grandfather having left County Cork over 100 years ago.
Our
design team drew inspiration from the traditional Irish Claddagh ring design and also intricate Celtic knot designs.
The customer was overjoyed with the final design and also the finished
jewelry pieces.
The design was based on 2 main things, the McCarthy coat of arms and the iconic Irish Claddagh design. Gary was involved in the process from start to finish.
Design Requirements and Vision

- His goal was to create a meaningful and timeless piece to remember his Irish ancestors.
Our design team used the customer's own coat of arms as the base for the commission and enhanced it with a unique take on the classic Irish claddagh design.
Design Process
- A custom Claddagh design framework on the jewelry piece.
- A custom version of the McCarthy coat of arms.
- Custom engraving on the jewelry to personalize each piece.
- After consultations, we refined the design further by adding custim engraving on each piece to personalize each jewelry piece.

Gary chose a design that combined traditional elements with modern symbolism, making the ring and pendant combination a unique representation of his Irish heritage.

Stephanie came to us with a request to create a unique modern bold design but base it on an old ring that had belonged to her father and had been in the family for years.
She provided us with an image of the ring, see below, and we used this as basis for our design. The design team used the original design but gave it a modern twist with more up to date lines around the shield, giving the ring a bold modern look.
The finished proof was approved with delight by the customer. She was overjoyed upon receiving the 14KT Gold ring.
