The ancient and illustrious Spanish family of Sodaro arrived in Sicily in 1668. The first bearer of the name Benedict Sodaro y Osorio, a native Spaniard, arrived in 1668 to Palermo. Today there are approximately 350 bearers of the surname Sodaro living in the United States.
