On October 4th 1657, George, son of George and Susanna Adkins, was christened at St. Bride's, Fleet Street, London. Robert Adkins, noted in the "Dictionary of National Biography", was chaplain to Oliver Cromwell. Niccodemus Adkins was an early arrival in the New World immigrating to Virginia in 1635.
