Where It Began Born From a Passion for Medieval Craft In 1998, in San Francisco, a small group of people who shared two obsessions — artisan jewelry and the deep history of European heraldry — came together around a question that had no easy answer: why was it so difficult for people to own a piece of their own family story?The obstacle, they found, was not the craft. Skilled hands have never been rare. What was rare was knowledge — the kind that can only come from years inside the archives of Europe's great libraries, tracing lineages through centuries of record, learning to read the precise visual language of blazons and crests. Without that, you are not making heraldic jewelry. You are making something that resembles it.So before anything else, they built the knowledge."We believed that technology could be the bridge between the artistry of the past and the modern customer who deserves to hold a piece of it."Over the years that followed, a network of exceptional artisan jewelers took shape. A research department put down roots in Europe. And slowly, name by name and coat of arms by coat of arms, our proprietary heraldic database was assembled — more than 260,000 entries. It took decades. It belongs to no one else.

The overall aesthetic remained simple and traditional, allowing the symbols to remain the focus of the design. The crest was framed with a standard helmet and mantling,giving the rings the look and feel of a traditional family crestwhile preserving the personal meaning of a newly created design.
