The client reached out to us with a very special idea. She wanted to create a custom men’s crest ring for her son as a graduation gift, something he could wear proudly as he stepped into the next chapter of his life.
More than just a piece of jewelry, the ring was meant to mark an important milestone and carry a deeper message. She wanted the design to reflect the values she hoped would stay with him in the years ahead: fidelity, integrity, and loyalty. Together, these ideas helped create a personal emblem that felt both timeless and full of meaning.
The client requested modern elements, specifically replacing the traditional helmet with a more distinctive, forward-looking symbol. The result was a unique custom graduation ring for her son, blending classic crest styling with a fresh, personal design.
Design Requirements and Vision

Working from the client’s ideas, the Heraldic Jewelry design team created an original crest that balanced traditional heraldic structure with contemporary symbolism.
Design Process
- The final concept included a falcon and a lion, each holding lightning bolts. These strong visual elements brought energy, character, and movement to the design.
- Beneath a traditional chevron, an anchor and horseshoe were included to ground the crest in classic symbolic language while giving the overall composition a personal identity.
- One of the most important design choices was the replacement of the traditional helmet. Instead of using the customary helmet above the shield, the design team introduced a shining sun, chosen to represent the bright future awaiting the client’s son after graduation.
- After further consultation, the design was refined with the addition of a banner beneath the arms bearing the motto: VIRTUS INTEGRITAS FIDES This motto helped reinforce the core values behind the ring and gave the design a more complete heraldic presence.
