Translating Aaron's vision into a cohesive design required both creativity and precision. The design team developed an entirely original crest-style composition built around four powerful symbols, each representing one of the family's core values:
Design Process
- The Eagle, represents strength and aspiration (Hope). The Stars represent joy and lightness (Laughter). The Cross represents devotion (Faith) and the Trinity Knot represents selfless love and Irish heritage (Charity).
- One of the most distinctive creative decisions was the inclusion of the Latin words for each value, Spes, Risus, Fides, and Caritas, woven directly into the design of the crest. Balancing these inscriptions with the symbolic imagery while maintaining a clean, elegant aesthetic was the central design challenge and ultimately, its greatest triumph.
- Over the course of the project, four proofs were presented, with multiple rounds of revisions and client consultations. The most significant refinements involved the integration of the Latin wording and the finalization of the Eagle motif. Aaron was engaged and collaborative throughout, and his feedback directly shaped the evolution of the design toward its final form.
- After consultations, we refined the design further by adding custim engraving on each piece to personalize each jewelry piece.
This project was especially meaningful because it needed to be completed in time for the client’s wedding anniversary. Our team was happy to meet the one-month deadline without compromising on quality. Since then, the client has shared plans to order matching pieces for future graduation gifts, and the design has been safely archived for future use. One of the most rewarding parts of the project was Aaron’s kind thanks to our design team for their courtesy, care, and communication throughout the process.
Final Design
- The approved design is a bold yet refined family crest rendered in 14KT white gold, combining the Eagle, Stars, Cross, and Trinity Knot in a seamless composition framed by the Latin inscriptions Spes, Risus, Fides, and Caritas.
- The Trinity Knot serves as the crown of the design — a proud nod to the Burke family's Irish roots.
- Three matching pieces were produced — a men's ring, a ladies' ring, and a pendant — all delivered within the promised one-month timeline, in time for Aaron's wedding anniversary.
